Top Ten Tuesday: Covers I'd Frame as Art

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week's Top 10 list is about covers, specifically ones we'd frame as pieces of art. Of course, this topic gets both hate and love from me because while I love drooling over the beauties, I know I'll forget several. I'm ready to look at others' lists and constantly groan that I can't believe I forgot THAT ONE.

Chaos of Stars by Kierstan White | For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund |
These Broken Stars by Meagan Spooner and Amie Kaufman

What can I say, I love pretty blue, starry covers.

Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress by Marissa Meyer

I'd happily have all of these side by side (with Winter next) on my wall with the international version mixed in there for fun because it's so pretty.

Let's Get Lost by Adi Asadi | Smart by Kim Slater

I can't help it, I love maps. And you can't leave out the back cover of Smart, the whole thing is perfect.

Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis | Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas | The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski | Ten by Gretchen McNeil

If you zoom in on Stitching Snow, you can see the beautiful detail on it as if the cover really is stitched. Crown of Midnight makes me feel pumped to be a girl, The Winner's Curse is just super pretty, while Ten is creepy and if it was hanging on my wall, it might give me nightmares, but I don't care. I like it all.

Which covers do you like?

  1. The chaos of the stars is pretty, it was one of the reasons to pick it up. I also like the font from These broken stars and how shiny it is in real life. All the covers from the Lunar Chronicles are stunning <3 They are subtle. I love Crown of midnight, although I prefer the white version which I have on my shelves. Stitching snow is cool too!

    1. I still haven't read it and to be honest, I'm a little afraid to read it because if it's not good, it'll be disappointing since the cover is gorgeous.

  2. These are all beautiful covers! I especially love the Stitching Snow and The Winner's Curse ones. Books you just have to have for the cover alone. :)

  3. Love your choices, Summer! I am so drawn to maps too, and considered the Let's Get Lost cover. And I haven't seen that cover of Cinder before - gorgeous! Nicely done.

  4. The top three I agree with totally! The Chaos of Stars made my list, and both of the other two are beautiful! The Lunar Chronicles are pretty, too! I love how the cover of Smart looks, it's neat when both the back and front of a book make up a entire image! :)

    1. That's what I think too. Those back to front covers are so unique.

  8. I really like The Chaos of Stars cover too. These are all pretty, but that one is my favorite of the group.

  9. I'm biased and will obviously say that I love the cover of Crown of Midnight. But apart from that kick-ass cover, I'd love to have the covers of the Lunar Chronicles on my walls too! They'd make such a striking row all together -- especially if Winter's cover matches perfectly (which it will. I hope.)

  10. I'm sighing at all the pretty in this post. I hadn't heard of Smart, but that cover is amazing - I love it when designers continue an image onto the back cover! And as you know, I love the cover of Let's Get Lost enough to hang it on my wall. :)

  11. All of these, YES, but especially the ones with stars on them. They made my list, too, except for the first one. And I can't wait to see how Winter's cover matches up with the rest...those would definitely make excellent wall hangings.
