Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Want to Read and Don't Own

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
I don't read everything I own (unfortunately) and I don't NOT read everything I don't own either. The first part are books that are published and I don't have or have read yet. The second part are ones that haven't even published yet, but I already have grabby hands for.

This was published today and I want it NOW.

Hungry by H.A. Swain

I got it from the library, but never got around to reading it. This is the title of my life so obviously I need it.

The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu

Sometimes you just need a tough contemporary in your life.

The Break-Up Artist by Philip Siegel

I need to own this cuteness and wouldn't it look so pretty on my shelf?

Between the Lives by Jessica Shirvington

This sounds like a hit or miss and I so hope for a hit.

Black Dove, White Raven by Elizabeth Wein

This Shattered World by Meagan Spooner and Amie Kaufman

Disney, I thank you.

Invaded by Melissa Landers

Again, thank you, Disney. This comes out next year so I'll be starting off the second semester right.

Cut Me Free by J.R. Johansson

I'm kind of hyperventilating on how perfect this sounds.

Wildlife by Fiona Wood

A wilderness story about friendship and love? Yes, please.

I know I never hit on what each was about, but that's why I put the links in the titles! Goodreads will give you all the information you need and you can get little commentary right here. What are books you don't have or read yet?

  1. I haven't read any of these, but Hungry and the Alienated series are on my list! I hope you enjoy all of them!

    Here are my Top Ten!

  2. I've only read A Little Something Different, The Break-Up Artist, and The Truth About Alice from this list. TB-UA was pretty good. TTAA was really interesting. I loved ALSD but I have a feeling it's one of those "love it or hate it" books. Hope you enjoy them! :)

  3. Great choices, Summer! I'm eager to read Wildlife, Cut Me Free, and A Little Something Different too. Between the Lives also looks like it has potential. Hope these books shift from your want list to your own list soon.

  4. I haven't read any of these, but I'm definitely interested to see what they do with This Shattered World. Great list!

  5. I really want to read A Little Something Different, too, and I find The Shattered World intriguing.
    My TTT

  6. I just saw Wildlife up on Netgalley. I'm excited to read it myself! :) Great list, summer! I hope you get your hands on a copy of all of these very soon.

  7. So many great books on the list!
I LOVE The Truth About Alice! Probably a favorite of 2014
A little Something Different has the prettiest cover Ever!
    My TTT

  8. A Little Something Different does sound so cute!

  9. I do want to read A Little Something Different now! I'm pretty sure I saw it on NetGalley, but I DIDN'T REQUEST IT because I'M A DUMDUM. And YAY for This Shattered World!

  10. I really adored A Little Something Different! I know it's not for everyone, but it's the kind of cutesy read that I needed at the time. I hope you'll love it too!
This Shattered World - LOOOOOOVE. I was so lucky to get this at BEA, and it's every bit as good as These Broken Stars. Tarver/Lilac is still my OTP, but the romance in TSW is amazing too.
I'm really excited for Invaded as well! I hope Aelyx and Cara's separation isn't too long. :P

  11. I like how you said the title of Hungry is the title of your life. :)

I really liked The Truth About Alice, so I hope you do to! The characters are a bit stereotyped, but in an intentional way, and they can sometimes come off as annoying, but in a way that makes them seem realistic. I don't know how the author did it, but she pulled it off. Let me know what you think when you read it!

  12. This comment has been removed by the author.

  13. I have Alienated on my list! Hungry and The Truth About Alice are on my TBR list. I LOVED Code Name Verity so will read anything by Elizabeth Wein :)
