A Few of My Favorite Blog Moments
- I got interviewed by Emma at her blog, so sweet!
- Encouraging people on Twitter, I love you all.
- Stacey Kade said that she's sending me the next book in the Project Paper Dolls series when it's ready. *hugs*
- MY BIRTHDAY!
- When I posted Wishlist Wednesday #18, I got an amazingly sweet comment from the book's author, Natalie Richards. Then she emailed me and said she scrounged up an ARC to give me if I wanted it because she was happy that her book was on my wishlist and that I posted about it and thought it would be nice since she saw I just had a birthday. If I make another "Nicest Authors" list again, she definitely deserves to be on there.

Although fall semester will be starting in a couple weeks, my awful summer biology and lab will be OVER! Hallelujah. That means I will hopefully have more time to read since I've discovered I have more time to read during actual school time than during the summer. I'm seriously loving all these new books.
How was your July? Hope you have a great fall!
Wow so many great books last month Sunny, I really can't wait to read Where the Stars Still Shine, I have heard such great things! I absolutely loved Parallel, so I really hope you do too! I hope August is a great reading month for you! :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I hope I do then :) Thank you!
DeleteOoh, great books, I am definitely jealous! My fall semester starts soon as well :/ Can't wait to read all your awesome reviews on your new books!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! Hope you have a great school year ;)
DeleteI love For Darkness Shows the Stars! And that birthday dinner looks so yummy! I hope you have a great August!
ReplyDeleteIt was! Thank you :)
DeleteCan't believe it's back to school time again. Agreed there seems to be less time to read over the summer. I'm so eager to read Where the Stars Still Shine and Parallel. Hope you love all your new books! Have a great August :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, you too!
DeleteAw, the breakdowns, stress, and guilt do not sound fun, but I'm glad you enjoyed parts of July anyway. Your birthday pictures look so fun, and I enjoyed guessing at the significance of some of the people at the table. :) Based on that story, Natalie Richards deserves her spot on your nicest authors list. People like that deserve some of the attention that the "authors behaving badly" alwats get, and its sad that acts like that are often forgotten next to scandalous ones. Your post list is not at all pathetic; we all have lives and I don't even post that much on a normal month (which is why your blog is awesomer than mine). I hope you have an even better August and enjoy Where the Stars Still Shine as much as I did. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I want to know your guesses :) Agreed to the max. I love it when bloggers DO highlight good author behavior because why always show the negative? You make me feel better, thank you! And don't you dare say that, my blog is not better! Thank you :)
DeleteI do believe you stole that idea FROM me, actually! Haha. You just implied I was the thief!
ReplyDeleteAw, your family is so cute. And WOW, you got some awesome books this month! Happy belated birthday!
I miss your giraffe-y face on Twitter. Come back!!
*blushes* Ha! Sorry 'bout that :)
DeleteThank you!
Ahhh I'm trying!
Aw, love your round-up list! And thanks so much for including me, it wasn't a bit of trouble! Hopefully you've gotten the book by now -- I was going to check in with you to make sure everything arrived safely, but I've been at the beach and completely scattered!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping August turns out to be an even better month with loads of fun surprises! :-)
I tweeted you, it arrived and I can't wait to read it :)
DeleteThank you!
Yummmmm you dinner looks so good!! Great book haul too. Great post! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love this feature, 'cause even though I try to stay on top of your posts, I do miss some. Looks like you had a wonderful birthday, spent with your lovely family and a whole mess of good food! :) And that is so nice of that author to send you an ARC for your bday and for featuring their book on your Wishlist post. I love it when authors reach out to us because we're just so excited about their books! :) Anyway, great haul! I still have For Darkness Shows the Stars on my shelf unread, but I'm really hoping to get to it soon so that I can read the next book. I think they're more companion novels, but I still like to read books in the order published. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! I think they are. I definitely agree with that and hope you like it!
DeleteWoot for you having more time to read! I take it the summer biology lab is over by now? :D And eee I missed your birthday but HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! That food looks so tasty o.O. And is the Birthday haul from nudging your mom to get you those books? If so, heeee, good job :). I loved For Darkness Shows the Stars, and I hope you do too! Stacey Kade and Natalie Richards sound AWESOME. So sweet of them both to send you their latest work. I hope you enjoy all your books - happy reading!
