Books I've Read:
What I'm Reading Right Now:
Stuff I Bought:
- A few Robin Jones Gunn books (combined $1)
- Trickster's Choice by Tamora Pierce ($1.50!)
Note: Thanks to my sister and mother who brought back a couple books from the big Friends of the Library sale!
Things that happened:
- I pretty much found my new favorite song. Can't decide if I should thank Gillian or blame her for the constant repeat on my phone.
- NaNo began (well, in November, but still...) and while I'm NOT participating, I love seeing all the tweets about it. I've heard the talk of NaNo being frustrating so you all know where to find me.
- And since my life seems to be very boring, I'll spare you from the other mundane things.
Read, write, and have a great November! Food month is upon us!
That is actually what I look like, but in feminine form. |
THAT SONG! I just listened to part of it, and it is now stuck in my head! Isn't A Long, Long Sleep a retelling of Sleeping Beauty? Do you like it so far? I haven't heard that much about it, it sounds interesting! Oh, and that gif made me laugh! :)
ReplyDeleteIT DOES THAT! It is! I do. A bit slow-ish, but maybe because I don't have too much time to read it?
DeleteThat might be why. I know if I don't have a lot of time to read a book, it pulls me out of the story. :(
DeleteOoh, I love OneRepublic but this song is new to me. I can totally see why you love it, the lyrics are amazing. I think my favorite song right now is Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth. Ah, NaNoWriMo. I participated a few times and let me tell you-you don't know stress until you see that word count looming over your head for the whole month aha.
ReplyDeleteIt really is. It gets me pumped up. Yay song suggestion! Haha, I believe it! Are you participating this year as well?
DeleteHA, no. Not this year. First year of college is enough stress for me xD
DeleteI really liked A LONG, LONG SLEEP, even though I was annoyed by the heroine for the first half of the book, hah. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteWendy @ The Midnight Garden
I'm in that spot right now!
DeleteLove One Republic. Haha .. food month. Yup, time to pack on the winter weight. lol.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteI haven't read your Friends of the Library books, but inexpensive books always deserve a party. Supporting NaNoWriMo-ers is surely more entertaining than participating, and I'm joining you in cheerleading this month. Possibly the best thing about the write-a-thon is the fact that Lindsey Leavitt changed her twitter profile picture to discourage herself from tweeting.
ReplyDeleteHappy "food month," and have a lovely November!
I kept meaning to ask you if you were going to do it! You would be awesome at it. Ha, she did?
DeleteThank you, you too!
I really loved These Broken Stars...wasn't it great?!? And I need to re-read Crewel so I can pick up Altered. And yay for the month of food being upon us!!!!! :D I'm not NaNoing either....too much stress and I'm already pretty stressed out without that. I do wish I could make myself start writing again, other than for the blog, though. Hope you have a fabulous November, Sunny!
ReplyDeleteIT WAS! Like adhfouwenf! I actually just started Crewel and....having a hard time going through it. Maybe it's because I barely have enough time to read in the day so I don't get too connected? I'm not sure. Haha, I'm with you there. Thank you, Jen, you too!
