This is a biggie. I'll be 18 years old. A week after, I'll be spending time in Nicaragua. During the week I come back, I'll be SKYDIVING. A few days after that, I'll be moving into college in Tampa. A week after THAT, I'll be starting classes. TWO weeks after that, my brother is getting married and my little sister is turning 15 years old (driving permit age!). It's a lot of changes for this girl at once. Decisions and changes are probably my biggest kryptonite-like things in my life. But it's all happening. And I'll try to embrace it. Because apparently, I'll be an adult.
I reblogged this on my Tumblr here.
Money decisions (I just bought my first laptop) might be a looming presence in my life right now, but since it is my birthday, I want to spread the love. As a college student, who knows if I'll ever be able to again. Hence, today's giveaway.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Summer! (PS LOVE that first GIF) Good luck at college, and congrats to your brother and sister! (I know you're related to Shae, so how many siblings do you have?)
ReplyDeletePlease tell me how skydiving is!! Happy Birthday :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUMMER! Good luck at college! I know it sounds scary, but don't worry about it. College is actually a lot of fun, except finals but oh well. And thanks for the giveaway! I usually celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends, along with A CAKE that we make ourselves :D
ReplyDeleteHmm, favorite birthday memory... is it weird that I don't have one? Most of my birthdays were great in the moment, but looking back, they weren't amazing. I do remember the year I turned 8, my best friend and her family came to visit so I got to spend the whole week with her, which was terrific.
ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday, Summer! <3 Remember this from your birthday last year? http://bookworm716.blogspot.com/2013/07/an-interview-with-fellow-blogger-sunny.html
I MUST eat Oreo Ice-Cream cake on my birthday, and if no one makes one for me, I just make it for myself.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Miss Summer! --Thank you for the sweet giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI tend to always spend my birthday reading, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it. =)
HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! :D I hope your Birthday is wonderful and fun, Summer! :)
ReplyDeleteUsually my Birthday is spent with my family, going to eat lunch at Firehouse Subs (My favorite!), and eating cookie cake (A lot better than regular cake, I think!)! Thank you for doing the giveaway! :)
Happy birthday in advance Summer! You have so many big and exciting things happening you right around the corner! I hope you have a brilliant time with everything coming your way! Thanks for the awesome giveaway too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to have lobster for my birthday.

Happy Almost Birthday! And so many new changes at once, indeed! But a lot of those are really awesome changes and things happening so I know you'll do alright!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI love to go to Olive Garden with my family! I know, kind of boring. But it's what I've been doing for the past 3 years, and I love Italian food. :)
I love to spend time with my family. Nothing special, but I love it!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, happy early birthday and congratulations on making it to adulthood! But I find it even more exciting that you're going to Nicaragua. Make sure to have enough fun to share with people, AKA me, who will be living vicariously through you.
ReplyDeleteAs for the comment question, I like to spend my birthdays crying about the terrifying fact that my time as a non-adult is quickly decreasing.
I think my favorite birthday memory is my 20th - I was living in Brasil at the time, and I had a big Brasilian celebration. Now, I replicate that in my classroom. Every kid gets a Brasilian birthday! It brings it all back to me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you, my friend!

OH MY GOD SHIT IS SO HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE LOL. YAY SUMMER!! YAYYYYY. "Decisions and changes are probably my biggest kryptonite-like things in my life." Same. Same. ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, summer!! Summertime birthdays are definitely the best. ;) Looks like you have A LOT going on in the very near future. Good luck to you with all of it, and I hope you enjoy it all!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!! And thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite birthday memory has to be last year when my best friends got me 2 kittens!!!
Happy Birthday!!!! My favorite thing to do on my birthday is party with my family! My grandma bakes me a cake every year and all my cousins and their little kids come and party :) Nothing beats a frosting fight with a 5 year old lol!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Summer! I'll tell you my favorite birthday present, my kindle!! And I always eat chocolate cake for my birthday :) Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday! My sister loves baking, so she always makes a cake and I get to pick the theme. Last time it was Game of thrones and she always comes up with great designs. I'm not a huge fan of cake, so she always uses the flavor I love the most (CHOCOLATE, haha)
ReplyDeleteIt seems pretty normal, but cake is a MUST on my birthday. Chocolate cake. *_*
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory is when I was 6 and my mom made me a bunny shaped cake!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, early!
ReplyDeleteI'm not easy to surprise, but a few years ago we were in Disney World and my husband got my 2 daughters and familys, plus my brother and family to show up at the miniature golf course for a round and then dinner. I knew my brother was coming, but not everyone else and my husband had been planning it for over 6 months. One daughter tried to sneak by with another group and I just happened to look up right then and said 'What.....???" It was also Mother's Day that same day (May 8), so it was doubley special! I cried!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, SOON! This is so sweet of you to do! Ummmm I had a surprise 16th bday which was pretty awesome because I actually was surprised. Otherwise, I like lots and lots of frosting. :D
ReplyDeleteLove to,go out to lunch and stay in for a nice night with my family, for my birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappiest of birthdays to you, Summer! Sounds like you have a ton going on, but don't rush that whole growing up thing. You're only this young once, so enjoy it while you can. ;) That said, my favorite birthday treat is this strawberry cake that my husband makes from scratch, complete with his special whipped cream icing with sweetened strawberries mixed in. It. Is. To. Die. For. Man, I wish my birthday was coming up soon. My husband's birthday is on Sunday, too, but his favorite is German chocolate cake. *shrugs* At least there will be cake. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I turned 18 in May and I promise it's fabulous. :) I love your blog - thanks for doing what you do! So excited about the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday, sweetheart! You have so many good things to look forward to. Your 18th year is going to start off with a bang! I totally wish I could help you celebrate! Skydiving is a dream of mine. Let us know how that experience goes, okay? :) Embrace the poor college lifestyle. It'll be the best time of your life, I swear!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you're wanting to know what my favorite birthday treat is... *drum roll* cake & ice-cream! ice-cream on the side of cake. lol! Any cake will do. :)

Happy 18th Birthday girl!! That's such a huge milestone! I hope you have a great day and then an amazing time on your trip. I don't really do anything special on my birthday - just a movie and an ice cream cake, and I'm happy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway too!

Happy Birthday!!! My 18th was last year(my 19th is coming up) and I'm not going to lie, it was unsettling at first...but trust me, its gets pretty amazing!!! :D
ReplyDeleteMy best birthday memory would probably have to be my 17th. I'm a grade ahead in school so my best friend is 11 months older than me and absolutely loves to throw it in my face, jokingly of course. But we always snuck into rated R movies because she was 17 and I wasn't...so on my 17th she just randomly shows up at my house, drags me to her car and we go to the theater and see whatever rated R movie was playing at the time...but the funny thing was when she was dragging me to her car she said, glad you finally caught up to the rest of us...haha its a pretty random memory but I was so happy!
Happy b-dayyy! :))
ReplyDeleteI love to eat mudcake on my b-day :)
Jenna
Happy Birthday! :D
ReplyDeleteOn my birthday, my mom cooks whatever I want, so we eat like kings xD lots of seafood, fried food, macaroni and mashed potatoes.
You know my answers. ;-) Happy 18th, Summer Bummer.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! If given a choice, I usually like to crash and watch a movie or read a book on my birthday. Yep, that's it. :) I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteI love to go to dinner with my whole family (some family-friendly place).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! Sky diving sounds like it'll be awesome, I so want to try one day. I'm not sure what my favorite birthday memory is, but I do love to eat my favorite foods on my bday - biscuit & gravy for breakfast, and then something delicious from a restaurant for dinner
ReplyDeleteHappy Name Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat I like during my birthday is there's ice cream and cake. :)
One of my favorite birthdays was a few years ago when I visited my cousin & her family and spent the day on the beach. Oh and of course I like to eat birthday cake -- preferably chocolate :)
